Which tool for which bench
- ▸Android phones, tablets and TV boxes: v2rayNG is the old reliable. Hiddify is simpler. NekoBox suits tinkerers.
- ▸iPhone and iPad: Streisand and V2Box cost nothing. Shadowrocket costs a few pounds, once, and has a loyal following.
- ▸Windows: v2rayN for people who like dials, and Hiddify for people who do not.

What sits underneath
The older VPN protocols announce themselves. OpenVPN and WireGuard each begin a conversation in a recognisable way, and a university or hotel firewall that has been told to refuse VPNs simply listens for that opening. VLESS is a slim transport that leaves encryption to TLS. Reality adds the disguise. When a firewall knocks on the server's door to see what is there, the server answers as a large, ordinary website would. What the network sees is one more HTTPS visit on port 443. You give up a little speed compared with WireGuard on an open line, and you gain a connection that works in awkward places.

Workshop rules

- ✓Never paste your key into an online converter. A key that a stranger has seen is a key shared with that stranger.
- ✓The stock WireGuard and OpenVPN apps cannot read a vless:// key.
- ✓One key opens five devices at the same time.
- ✓If a key is lost, the bot shows it again.

There is no account here, so there is nothing to attach a log to. You never give us an email, a phone number or a name. The bot knows a Telegram chat, a key and an expiry date, and that is the whole record. We say so plainly instead of pretending to be beyond every jurisdiction.

What people ask before the first key is cut
Which client should I begin with?
Hiddify. It behaves the same on every platform and has very little to get wrong.
Are these clients trustworthy?
Their code is public, and they are used well beyond our service. The risk lies in fake copies, so use official sources only.
Do I have to pay for Shadowrocket?
No. The free iPhone clients read the same key.
May I use two clients with one key?
Yes. The key does not mind which app opens it.
Must I understand protocols?
No. The key carries every setting with it. This page is for the curious.
Why not WireGuard?
It is quick on open networks, and it is easy to block on filtered ones. Our customers meet the second kind too often.
