The fuse
Most VPNs with free trials take your card number on the first day. Nothing is charged for a week, and then the annual plan begins unless you have cancelled. The provider calls that a trial. In practice it is a subscription with a fuse attached, and the business counts on a share of customers forgetting the date. A few services offer the other kind, where no card is taken and the trial simply stops. Ours is one of them. Whichever of the free trial VPNs you try, look first for the card field. That tells you which kind you are dealing with.
