Application VPN free: how to pick an app and what it costs
Before you press install on a free VPN app, find out who pays the developer. The answer predicts most of what follows.
No card, no account. The key is cut and delivered in Telegram in about a minute.
- 60 sfrom the bot to a working key
- 5devices on one key
- 6locations, two of them in the UK
- 0logs kept
- London9 ms
- Manchester14 ms
- Dublin19 ms
- Amsterdam16 ms
- Madrid34 ms
- New York78 ms
Every location runs VLESS over Reality, which reads as ordinary HTTPS on a filtered network.
- Fits v2rayNG, Hiddify, V2Box, Streisand
- No app of ours to lose
- Five devices on one key
- Five days free, then a flat price per term
- No logs, no account
What a free app has to earn
An application VPN free of charge still costs somebody money: servers, bandwidth and staff. The developer recovers it from one of a few places. Some apps show adverts. Some cap your data so that you upgrade after a few days. Some give you slow servers to sell you fast ones. And some are paid for by things you cannot see in the store listing, such as data about what you do online. The listing will not say which kind you have, so the checks below are worth doing once.
Five checks before you install
- ✓Who publishes the app? A named company with a website and a contact beats an unfamiliar developer with a vague logo.
- ✓What permissions does it ask for? A tunnel needs permission to create a connection. It does not need your contacts or your messages.
- ✓What does the privacy policy say about logs? Look for a plain statement, and be wary of a missing one.
- ✓What is capped? Free tiers commonly limit data, speed or the choice of locations.
- ✓Does it say how it is funded? If you cannot tell, assume the answer is your data.
Free VPN for websites and sites
Plenty of people type free VPN for websites or free VPN for site when what they want is a single site opened. A VPN does not work per website. It carries the whole device's traffic, or the traffic of the apps you choose. Some clients can route per app, NekoRay for one, and that is as close as it gets. If one page is all you need, a proxy page might do, with the limits on our proxy page. For anything you sign in to, use a tunnel.
The route with no app of ours
Royal Key does not make an app. We cut a VLESS key, a single line of text, and you paste it into a free client that reads it. v2rayNG and Hiddify cover Android, Streisand and V2Box cover iPhone and iPad, Hiddify and NekoRay cover Windows, and Hiddify and V2Box run on macOS. Those clients are general tools rather than something branded for one service, and no store removal of ours can touch the key. The key is free for ten days, with no card and no account, and then you decide.
If a store listing makes promises
Be wary of any listing that promises data with no ceiling, total anonymity, or speeds beyond what your line provides. Those claims cannot all be true. Real free tiers say what they limit. Reviews are a weak guide as well, since they are easy to buy and they mostly record the first ten minutes. A short, specific description with a named company behind it is a better sign than a screen full of stars.
Who wrote this
Royal Key sells a paid key, so we gain if you choose our route over a free app, and you should read the above with that in mind. An AI model assisted with the draft, and the only source was how our own key is set up. No other app is named here, and nothing is claimed about how any specific free app behaves.

Try the key in your own lock first
Message our Telegram bot and it writes back with a key for you.
- Your key arrives in Telegram within a minute
- No card, no email address, no ID checks
- Fits a client you may already have
- Covers five devices
Nothing is charged, and no plaque renews by itself.
The ledger
We keep no ledger of you, only of the key
Royal Key holds three things: a Telegram chat, the key sent to it and the date that key expires. No account sits behind them, so there is nothing for a log to attach to, and we never ask for a name, an email address or a phone number. It is a modest claim, and we prefer it to pretending that no jurisdiction could ever reach us.
- No account, email address or phone number
- No record of the sites you visit
- No connection times or IP addresses kept
- No card details: you pay inside Telegram
- No renewal and no charge you did not choose
At the counter
Asked at the counter
Are free VPN apps worth it?
For a light, short job from a known publisher, they can be. For daily use, the caps and the question of funding usually get in the way.
Do I need to make an account?
Not for ours. The bot gives the key and nobody asks for a name or an email address.
Which free apps VPN lists can I trust?
Treat any ranked list with caution, ours included. Use the checks above and decide for yourself.
Can a free app be removed from the store?
Yes, and it happens. A key lives outside the store, so another client reads the same line if one disappears.
What if I do nothing once the trial is over?
Once the tenth day passes, the key just stops working. You are not billed and nothing renews on its own.
Question not on the list?
The bot that cuts keys also answers questions. The setup section names the client to install.
