Mac and VPN: Hiddify or V2Box, set up in a minute
macOS has a VPN panel of its own. It is built for older protocols, so a modern key needs a small free client beside it.
No card, no account. The key is cut and delivered in Telegram in about a minute.

The short version
Install a free client, ask the Royal Key bot for a free key, paste it into the client and switch it on. Hiddify and V2Box both run on macOS, and both are free. You will not find a branded Royal Key program to download, because there is not one: what you receive is one line of text that starts with vless://, and the client does the rest. The whole thing takes about a minute on a MacBook, an iMac or a Mac mini.
Why System Settings cannot do it
The VPN section of System Settings understands the protocols that companies have used for their staff for years. It has no idea what to do with a VLESS key. So for a Mac with a modern, filter-friendly tunnel you add a client, which reads the key and creates the connection. The first time you connect, macOS asks whether to allow a VPN configuration. That is the system doing its job, and you can accept it.
Setup
Which client for which Mac user
Hiddify chooses a route for you and keeps its screens quiet, which suits anybody who wants it to work without fiddling. V2Box is plain about importing and sits comfortably in the background, which suits someone who sets it once and forgets. Either reads the same key, so you can swap if one irritates you. One key stretches to five devices, which means the phone in your pocket and this Mac can run off the same line.

Free VPNs for a Mac, and what to expect
If you are weighing the best free VPNs for mac book use, remember that free usually means a data cap, slower servers or a short list of locations. Our free offer is ten days with the full service, no card and no account, and afterwards you either pay for a term or stop. Royal Key sells the paid key, so there is an interest here worth bearing in mind. This page names no other provider and compares none.

The ledger
We keep no ledger of you, only of the key
Royal Key holds three things: a Telegram chat, the key sent to it and the date that key expires. No account sits behind them, so there is nothing for a log to attach to, and we never ask for a name, an email address or a phone number. It is a modest claim, and we prefer it to pretending that no jurisdiction could ever reach us.
- No account, email address or phone number
- No record of the sites you visit
- No connection times or IP addresses kept
- No card details: you pay inside Telegram
- No renewal and no charge you did not choose
At the counter
Asked at the counter
Is there a Royal Key program for macOS?
No. You install a free client that reads the key, and the key comes from the bot.
Does it work on an older Mac?
That depends on which macOS versions the client you choose supports. Check the client's page before installing.
Does the iPhone get to share this key?
Yes, with room for up to five devices on one key.
How much speed will the Mac lose?
Some speed is lost because traffic travels further. The nearest location loses least.
How do I get the client off my Mac cleanly?
Switch it off, delete the client from Applications and remove the profile in System Settings if one was added.
Question not on the list?
The bot that cuts keys also answers questions. The setup section names the client to install.
